Understanding Our Initial Consultation Terms and Conditions

Electronic Agreement: The Client is required to sign the Initial Consultation Agreement electronically before proceeding with the consultation. The agreement will be emailed to you once the payment has been confirmed.

Consultation Platform: The Consultation will take place over Zoom, with the link being sent to the Client via email and the Client Portal.

Consultation Fee: The Client must pay a fee for the Consultation.

Assessment Form Completion: The Client must complete the assessment form in the Client Portal at least 24 hours prior to the Consultation, or the RCIC can complete it during the Consultation without adding extra time. Email instructions will be sent to you.

Consultation Purpose: The purpose of the Consultation is to assess the Client's eligibility for permanent or temporary immigration to Canada and answer any questions related to Canadian immigration law. However, the RCIC will not answer questions regarding application forms, letters of intention, or document reviews.

Consultation Scope: The Consultation focuses solely on Canadian immigration programs, excluding education, employment recruitment, taxation, or other non-immigration-related topics.

Referrals: The RCIC may refer the Client to additional services during the Consultation, but the Client is not obligated to accept them.

Profile Evaluation: The Client's profile, along with their spouse and/or dependent children, will be evaluated during the Consultation. However, the RCIC will not evaluate or respond to questions pertaining to third parties' profiles.

Cancellation and Rescheduling: If the Client needs to cancel or reschedule the appointment, they must notify Immigrative at least 24 hours in advance. Failure to do so may result in the RCIC cancelling the appointment without reimbursement. The Client may reschedule only once and fees will not be refunded after rescheduling.

Reimbursement: Consultation fees are reimbursable up to 24 hours prior to the appointment, minus a $50 CAD administrative fee. Transfer fees associated with the refund will be covered by the Client.

Late Arrival: If the Client is more than 20 minutes late for the Consultation, the RCIC reserves the right to cancel the appointment without refunding fees.

Consultation Duration: Consultation time is limited to 60 minutes. If the Client needs more time, they may request a paid follow-up meeting or an additional Consultation.

Representation: The RCIC may choose to accept or decline the Client's request for immigration representation after the Consultation.

Consultation Fee Deduction: The Initial Consultation fee can be deducted from the Retainer Agreement's total cost if signed within 30 days of the Consultation, provided that the Retainer Agreement value exceeds $1,200 CAD.

Communication: All communication following the Consultation must be conducted through the Client Portal. Inquiries made through other platforms will not be answered by the RCIC.

Confidentiality: All documents shared with the Client are considered confidential and must not be disclosed to any third parties.

Acceptance of Terms: By scheduling an Initial Consultation and paying the fee, the Client agrees to these terms and conditions.

Governing Law: This Agreement shall be governed by the laws in effect in the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.

Please note that the RCIC is a licensee in good standing with the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC) and is bound by its By-laws, Code of Professional Conduct and Regulations.
